Chalets in La Plagne Availability & Booking

La Plagne is a vast ski area in its own right. The Vanoise Express cable car links La Plagne with Les Arcs, forming one of the biggest ski areas in the world: Paradiski. Unfortunately however, for the 2007/08 winter season the Vanoise Express will be closed, please see our News page.

Our la Plagne chalets are all in Plagne 1800, one of 11 villages that make up La Plagne. Plagne 1800 is a great base for a ski holiday in la Plagne, it is a self-contained village set amongst the pine trees just below Plagne Centre. It has its own ski school, hire shops and choice of restaurants. Plagne 1800 now has good ski access: there is a bridge in Plagne Centre allowing skiers safe and uninterrupted access by piste over the main road.

La Plagne snow record: The La Plagne ski area has an excellent snow record – our chalets are based at 1800m

Skiing in La Plagne: The resort is well known as a beginner and intermediate skiers’ paradise with an abundance of easily accessible nursery slopes and miles of motorway pistes. For a detailed review of each ski run see our La Plagne piste guide. It is less well known for a huge amount of off-piste skiing – there really is something for everyone although truly advanced on-piste skiing is limited.
Snowboarders in La Plagne have the benefit of snowparks and half pipes above Plagne Centre and Plagne Bellecote.

La Plagne Accommodation: Ski Beat offers catered ski chalets in la Plagne 1800, one of the few high altitude villages in la Plagne with stand alone ski chalets. Our chalets sleep from 6 to 18 skiers, almost all chalet bedrooms in la Plagne are en-suite and most enjoy good ski access to the slopes of La Plagne.

La Plagne nightlife: La Plagne offers limited nightlife. In Plagne 1800 there are three bars; for a bigger selection of apres-ski there is a free bus service from Plagne 1800 to Plagne Centre and Plagne Bellecote until past midnight.

Childcare in La Plagne: Ski Beat offers childcare either in our creche below Chalet Perrier in Plagne 1800 or an afternoon care service for the older ones. Please note: The childcare facility is for the use of Ski Beat guests only.
