La Tania in the Courchevel valley of Les Trois Vallees, is an excellent resort for ski chalet holidays. La Tania is designed to be pedestrian friendly and has very good ski access: take the la Tania telecabine out of village then a chairlift before choosing between skiing to Courchevel or Meribel.
Skiing in la Tania & the Trois Vallees: Les Trois Vallees needs little introduction as one of the world’s greatest ski holiday destinations. It incorporates the resorts of Courchevel (including la Tania), Meribel and Val Thorens, and with 200 lifts, 600km of pistes and 1500 snow cannons, you can be assured of quality skiing throughout the winter ski season. In the Courchevel Valley there is a huge selection of skiing to suit every level of skier. Beginners have the use of a free drag lift on La Tania’s nursery slopes, allowing them to learn basic techniques before graduating to the blue runs above the resort. For intermediates there are superb red runs from the top of Saulire, as well as the chance to explore further afield. At the end of the day you can ski back to La Tania by either taking the red run that winds down to the resort, the blue run “Les Folyeres”, or the green run which takes you down through the trees and all the way back to some of our la Tania chalets.
La Tania snow record: La Tania has an excellent snow record: many of the slopes above la Tania are north facing; the Trois Vallees is renowned for its piste maintenance; there are snow cannons throughout the Trois Vallees including the route back to la Tania.
Our la Tania chalets: our catered ski chalets are tucked away in the pine trees above the village, which is a short walk away. All our chalets in la Tania offer good quality accommodation and are very conveniently situated close to the skiing.
La Tania apres ski: there are a number of shops, bars and restaurants within the resort, and although nightlife is limited, live music can be found at the Ski Lodge Pub. La Tania offers a friendly, family atmosphere and has the rare benefit of being away from the main hustle of the bigger resorts whilst still maintaining excellent access to the slopes. There is a small "relaxation" pool in the Hotel Montana in la Tania that is open to the public from 5-9pm, although there is a larger pool in Meribel.
Childcare in La Tania: The Ski Beat la Tania creche is in our chalet Amethyste: this dedicated creche cares for children aged from 3 months to 4 years. Children aged 4-7 years attending ski school in the morning may take advantage of our lunch and afternoon care service. Please see our Childcare section for more details.
