Plagne 1800 now has two chairlifts out of the village: one towards Aime la Plagne and the new Melezes chairlift to Plagne Centre.
Confusingly there was previously a Melezes chairlift from near Plagne Centre giving access to Plagne Bellecote, this has been removed. The new Melezes chairlift runs from the meeting point of the ESF in Plagne 1800 to where the old lift started. The old lift has been replaced with the new Bergerie chairlift , arriving at 2184m just above Plagne Villages but giving access to either Plagne Centre or Plagne Bellecote. The ancient two seater Vega chair out of Plagne Centre has also been removed.
This investment together with piste improvement work should improve access from Plagne Centre and will allow an increase to the size of the ESF ski kindergarten. The main benefit has got to be for those staying in Plagne 1800.
This now means that Chalets Arpette, Becoin and Bartavelle are all within 100m of the nearest chairlift.
