Meribel being part of the Three Valleys ski area has a very good snow record; there is a huge number of snow making machines.
The Meribel valley offers a vast choice of pistes suited to all standards of skiers and snowboarders. Beginner skiers can enjoy the Altiport area above Meribel whilst leisurely skiers can take pleasure in the flattering boulevard pistes flanked by gourmet restaurants. There are plenty of challenging runs for intermediate and advanced skiers, whilst the notorious Courchevel couloirs over the ridge from Meribel and the Chanrossa bumps will keep even the most expert skier occupied. Meribel operates a very efficient ski lift system with plenty of snow cannons to ensure good snow coverage; along with excellent piste grooming and a sunny aspect it is difficult not to be impressed.
In the Meribel valley there are 8 green ski runs, 36 blue, 23 red and 9 blacks with loads more just over the hill from Meribel in the Trois Vallees: you have the whole of Courchevel and Val Thorens. For a detailed review of each ski run see our guide to skiing in Meribel or for those in Courchevel our guide to skiing in la Tania. Snowboarders in Meribel have the benefit of the Plattieres snowpark above Meribel Mottaret; freestylers have the Moonpark.
Meribel offers a huge selection of après ski, there are bars and restaurants spread across the ski resort. Dick's T-Bar has always been popular and is just 200m from many of our Meribel ski chalets. The Olympic sports centre is only a few hundred metres from our Chalet de Meribel. The sports centre hosts top-level ice hockey matches as well as having a swimming pool, climbing wall and bowling alley. Also in this complex is Le Loft night club if you fancy dancing the night away after a hard day's skiing in Meribel.
Ski Beat does not offer its normal childcare services in Meribel. For a skiing holiday in the Three Valleys with childcare try one of our chalets in la Tania where we offer a nanny and creche service.
