Ski Beat's Responsible Tourism Policy

Eco-friendly ski holiday companies and their skiing guests are becoming increasingly aware of the need for responsible tourism; respect for other people and the need to be environmentally friendly. Ski Beat is a member of AITO, we respect AITO's Responsible Tourism policy (for further details please see www.aito.co.uk) and are proud that we have been awarded their 4 star rating - we are the only ski holiday company that has achieved this.

We at Ski Beat realise that the most environmentally friendly thing we could all do is to stop skiing or snowboarding and not go on holiday. We are more practical than that: we know that many people want to ski and snowboard; we believe that skiing holidays should be provided in a way that is as environmentally friendly way as possible.

Ski Beat has undertaken a number of initiatives to try to reduce the impact that we all have and strives to provide eco-friendly ski holidays, our green initiatives include:

Last ski season most of our flights to the Alps were ticketless, for next winter our ski flights to Chambery will also be ticketless. We believe that Ski Beat is the first ski holiday provider to make all its flights truly ticketless.

The Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO) is the first tourism industry association to incorporate a commitment to Responsible Tourism in to its business charter. All members whether offering ski holidays or any other holiday are required to make some sort of commitment, look for the holidays with the most stars: as above, Ski Beat is one of only two ski holiday companies with three stars.
