About This Chalet

Description

Chalet Laurier is a warm and spacious chalet decorated in traditional Savoyard style, combining modern luxuries with alpine character. The chalet is in a fantastic location with easy access to the piste and local amenities.

The living area is perfect for curling up around the log fire on the comfortable sofas and enjoying a slice of homemade cake. There is ample seating so the open plan lounge is perfect for socialising. The balcony offers unrestricted views of the pistes, perfect for planning your day's skiing and enjoying the snowy settings of La Plagne. Alternatively, you can relax in the hot tub room and unwind after a day's activity.

The chalet offers eight spacious bedrooms spread over two floors, including a single room, complete with en-suite facilities.

Your chalet hosts live in.

Chalet Laurier can not take infants.

Location

Chalet Laurier is about 150m from the Plagne 1800 chairlift, you walk out of your chalet down a snowy path and you can start your day's skiing. The Plagne 1800 chairlift takes you out of the village up towards Plagne Aime 2000. From here you can ski directly back to within 150m from Chalet Laurier via the red "Les Mines" piste or blue "Jean-Marie" or "Lovatière" from Plagne Centre. Alternatively you can ski back via the black "Crête-Côte" run.

Chalet Laurier is in an excellent position within the village of La Plagne 1800, located just a few minutes from the La Mine Bar and a couple of minutes' walk from the local Spar supermarket and hire shops. On the chalet hosts' night off the "Petit Chaperon Rouge" is a short walk across the piste, a cosy mountain restaurant with a roaring fire.

Customer Testimonials

  • "Claire and Dan as our chalet hosts were exceptional- the best I have experienced to date."

Stephen, stayed in Ski Chalet Laurier, la Plagne in February 2024

  • "Can't fault Dan, a hugely committed and all round great host. He was faultless throughout...a member of staff I would want to keep if it was my business!"

Steven, stayed in Ski Chalet Laurier, la Plagne in February 2024

  • "Claire and Dan were absolute stars, made the chalet a home from home, food was delicious "

David, stayed in Ski Chalet Laurier, la Plagne in February 2024

  • "Claire and Dan, our chalet hosts (Chalet Laurier) were unbelievably helpful, welcoming and knowledgeable. We had a lovely time getting to know them. Honestly fantastic and I couldn't fault anything - they were the perfect hosts and made us feel welcome and at home. They knew everything about the resort, provided great recommendations for runs and also for where to eat on the slopes and on wednesday! Will be keeping my fingers crossed that we get them again in future years. The only shame was that the kitchen area in the chalet was divided from the sitting area which meant we couldn't chat to them whilst they were cooking!! Honestly, absolutely incredible team, amazing time, very well organised. Would also add that the ski hire was well organised (and just below our chalet!), and they were happy to help me find boots that fit - I changed quite a few times !! Finally, Loved Oxygene (Gaultier was my instructor, and he was brilliant, very helpful and i learned loads). "

Sophie, stayed in Ski Chalet Laurier, la Plagne in February 2024

  • "Dan and Clare were absolutely great, made us feel very welcome and the standard of food was amazing. "

Clare, stayed in Ski Chalet Laurier, la Plagne in February 2024

  • "Dan and Clare, as Chalet hosts, were exceptional....and I'm sure I'm not the first person to say that"

Gary, stayed in Ski Chalet Laurier, la Plagne in February 2024

  • "Dan and Claire (Chalet hosts) were superb. I was very impressed by the balanced they struck between being friendly and professional. Extremely helpful when needed and went above and beyond their duties to ensure we had a fantastic holiday (such as offering to book us a table at a nearby restaurant for their day off and offered to speak to my non-ski beat arranged ski school, when dissatisfied with the lessons. Also would like to applaud the coach company's attitude to safety. We were caught up in the farmer strikes, so our transfer was 5+ hours from the airport. Not only did the driver have local knowledge to find a quiet pass to miss out traffic, they swapped drivers before the twisty climb up from the valley to resort. I was impressed as this showed they took safety seriously and gave us a rested driver for the high risk part of the drive."

James, stayed in Ski Chalet Laurier, la Plagne in February 2024

  • "Claire and Dan from Chalet Laurier were excellent."

Alistair, stayed in Ski Chalet Laurier, la Plagne in February 2024

They remembered us from last year and gave us a warm welcome hug when we arrived. When my wife broke her leg nothing was too much trouble and as usual their food was excellent. Both are a credit to Ski Beat and helped us enjoy our holiday despite the injury"

They even joined us for our Christmas dinner and evening festivities. We would come back here just for Dan and Claire! "

Harry, stayed in Chalet Laurier, la Plagne in January 2024

  • "Our chalet hosts Claire and Dan were fantastic, food was excellent, super helpful with the resort and surroundings and what we could do, would come on another Ski Beat holiday if they were my chalet hosts"

Thomas, stayed in Chalet Laurier, la Plagne in January 2024

  • "Dan could not have made us feel more welcome, nor could he have been more accommodating. Despite the occupancy not warranting his usual partnership with Claire, Dan maintained the excellent standards of cleanliness and food preparation and presentation that we enjoyed last year. We are delighted that they are both planning to remain with ski beat next year and speak about the organisation as an employer in such glowing terms. We are highly likely to return next year and Dan and Claire’s hosting is a key contributor to that decision"
