brits exit for a

white christmas

Thousands of Britons are expected to leave the UK for Christmas and Ski Beat reports an early surge in bookings for the festive period, with friends and families looking for a more restful and traditional way to spend Christmas.

With over half of their chalets already booked for Christmas Brighton based ski chalet company, Ski Beat, are preparing a vast British Christmas for 600 guests in the French Alps this winter, including 2046 mince pies, 15.2kg of cranberry sauce, 710 Christmas crackers and 59kg brussel sprouts.

Sales & Marketing director Laura Hazell said “Our skiers love their traditional British Christmas. We are already busy with our huge Christmas food order, while our chalet hosts will be up early on Christmas day preparing a traditional roast turkey dinner, after starting the day preparing a full English breakfast with everything from fried eggs and bacon to Heinz Baked Beans.”

She continued “The French Alps guarantee a snowy white Christmas in a picture-perfect winter setting, with traditional, home from home chalets, run by charismatic chalet hosts. With the cost of staying at home running into thousands, there’s a real appeal to having someone else to put up Christmas decorations, decorate the tree, shop, cook, serve, clear, clean, set the table and do the washing up.”

Snowy, fully catered Christmases start from £899 pp, including cooked breakfast, home prepared cakes with afternoon tea, three course evening meals with free-flowing wine on five days and champagne, crackers and a turkey roast dinner on Christmas day. For friends and families travelling together, one free place is guaranteed for every group of 10 guests, saving up to £1169 this Christmas.
