Snow Record

Les Arcs & Peisey Vallandry have an excellent snow record with a snow range of 1,200-3,226m. There are also plenty of snow making machines to ensure that ski access is maintained to the villages of les Arcs and Plan Peisey.

Best Time to Ski in Les Arcs

The best time to ski in Les Arcs is from mid-December to late April, when the resort typically enjoys excellent snow conditions and a full range of open runs. The peak season, from late December to February, offers the best snow quality and a vibrant atmosphere, while March and April provide longer days, quieter pistes, and milder temperatures, perfect for enjoying the slopes and après-ski activities.

Skiing in Les Arcs

Access to the Les Arcs ski from Plan Peisey is via a high-speed 6-seater ski lift. At the top of this chairlift there is a blue ski run to les Arc 1800 from where the TransArc cable car provides access to the les Arc 2000 ski area.

Les Arcs offers a range of ski slopes catering to different skill levels, including gentle nursery slopes and dedicated beginner zones for new skiers, a wide selection of blue and red runs for intermediate skiers, and challenging black runs and off-piste opportunities for advanced and expert skiers. Skiing home to Plan Peisey from other parts of Les Arcs: there is a choice of easy green, blue or red pistes. Alternatively there is a black run if those ski legs are not too tired at the end of the day.

Snowboarders in Les Arcs also have the benefit of a large snowpark and half pipes above les Arcs 1800.

Après Ski

Plan Peisey and Peisey Vallandry offer limited nightlife although Plan Peisey does have a number of bars and restaurants to choose from whilst Vallandry, about 10 minutes walk away, offers further choice. After the ski slopes close each evening there is no access to the other villages of les Arcs.
