With 99% of the ski area situated above 2,000 metres, Val Thorens offers excellent conditions for all things ski. Between its powder snow fields and perfectly groomed runs, the Val Thorens ski area offers great snowsports to beginners and experienced skiers alike.
With over 40 bars and 3 nightclubs there's certainly no dearth of apres ski action in Val Thorens. Should you wish to enjoy a coffee and some post-slope synopses in a quiet, yet bustling bar, head to Bar 360. You'll also find some great après ski action in La Folie Douce, a world-renowned bar, hailed as the dance floor on top of the world. Or, if you're looking to sample some Michelin standard cuisine in one of the highest Michelin resturants in Europe, pay a visit to either Fitz Roy, Le Diamant Noir or Les Explorateurs - Hotel Pashmina. Should that not tickle your fancy, you can also hit the resort's sports center (closed for winter 21/22 due to major renovations), which comes complete with two pools, jacuzzis, saunas, and Turkish baths. Children are catered for as well, with a fun park, which features trampolines and bouncy castles. Finally, there's a superb well-being club, where you can avail of the sun beds, massages and indulgent facial treatments.
